Voted by TripAdvisor earlier this year as the third best world destination for 2018, Nairobi has so much to offer and TripAdvisor describes it as “an energetic modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife.” I am not surprised, the energy and the night life in this city! My friends and I travelled to Watamu for one of our girl’s birthday party. It was my first time visiting and so the experience was out of this world. We were staying at the spectacular Medina Palms. Check it out here
I signed up for hiking Mount Longonot while I was solo traveling in Zanzibar. Read my Zanzibar solo travel here. I wasn’t sure I’d do it because physically I wasn’t prepared but I wanted to have the experience.
Are you an avid camper? Have you camped at Lake Oloiden yet? Well I have been able to camp twice this year, the first was at savage wilderness, Sagana and the 2nd was at Oloiden camping site in Kongoni, Naivasha for a birthday party with the girls.
Just like the first one, camping at Oloiden was a one night affair. The girls and I left Nairobi around midday and arrived at Oloiden camping site at 4pm because we had a stopover at Delamere Farm shop to grab a quick lunch.
