The hunt for a heated swimming pool |The Traveling Mom.

Beautiful Nairobi

As a mom to a toddler who loves swimming, it took me some time to locate the nearest heated swimming pool around me. But when on a chilly weekend little traveler wanted to swim and we not being fans of cold water in this cold Nairobi, we started hunting down a heated pool. Turns out one was just in my neighborhood, how cool! So does your child love to swim but when you think how cold it is outside you cringe? Have you been wondering where to take them for a ‘hot” swimming in this cold Nairobi season? Or even during ‘summer’? I found this heated pool which is at the roof top of the Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Hurlingham.

The swimming pool is heated throughout and once you enter you do not want to come out. The pool is open from morning and is closed at 6pm. We were there swimming from 12pm and left at almost 7pm, yes it’s that fun and addictive.

The changing rooms are clean and you are also given very clean, large and warm towels and lockers too to store your items.

Generally the hotel is really nice with a lovely ambience, food was very delicious and the service was great too. There is a bar and restaurant at the rooftop as well with a very beautiful view of Nairobi.

Swimming pool charges:

• Children 500/-

• Adults 1500/-

Mom hacks:

• Food and drinks were somehow pricey (not exaggerated though) so you can always make it an after lunch plan, you go after having your lunch and just have drinks.

The food was good.

• If mom gets in the pool she will pay 1500/- so mom can save 1500/- by not entering the pool 😃

• If you need floaters just carry your own because they do not provide any at the pool.

• You can also carry pool friendly baby toys.

I decided to write this post because I know there are so many of us moms and dads who are always looking for child friendly places where we can take our outdoor loving children over the weekends and this heated swimming pool is definitely one I really loved and there are more to come in the blog.

Keep it here.
